白鳳時代の幕開けを告げる
華やかな弥勒像
考える仏 弥勒菩薩「未来仏」とも言われる弥勒菩薩は、その名のとおり釈迦入滅後56億7千万年後の未来に如来となり衆生を救うとされ、それまでは兜率天で修行をしています。
右足を左足の腿の上に乗せ、右手で頬杖をつくように思索を巡らせる半跏思惟のポーズがよく知られており、これは私たちを助ける方法を熟思している姿です。
イスム こだわりの造型モデルは丙寅（666）年銘の重文「金銅弥勒菩薩半跏像」。飛鳥時代の前期には日本での仏像制作も本格化していますが、後期に入ると華やかな装飾や柔らかな肉体表現が顕著になります。
当像はその新時代の基準作として語られ、大きな頭飾や隋風美術の影響を受けたと思われる裙の文様など、小像ながら見どころの多い名作です。
イスムでは高さわずか11センチの中にその魅力を余すことなく再現、1350年以上もの時を経た金銅仏の確かな存在感を造りあげました。
Bronze Miroku Bosatsu/Maitreya
Miroku Bosatsu will come down into the world of 5.6 billion and 70 million years after the death of Buddha.
His posture represents the fact that he is pondering the way of saving the people when the time comes. This is modeled after a gilt bronze image of the Buddha that is believed to have been made in 666. The large diadem (head ornament) and bead pattern that colors the edges of the clothing are gorgeous, and the plump body makes a realistic beautiful statue of Buddha.
金銅彌勒
是日本自古以來神道和佛教的融合，祇有日本才有的佛像。
這個不安定的姿勢展示了其從岩石中飛出時的姿勢。雖然表情憤怒，但又極具品格，是神聖的山神。
