Kudara Kannnon is a national treasure of Japan and was made in the Asuka period (592-710). This beautiful and well-proportioned buddha statue gives a graceful impression. The face expression called “Archaic smile” is known for the slightly lifted corner of the mouth and is distinct from other buddha statues. Kudara Kannnon is a masterpiece of ancient Japan. Kannon Bosatsu helps those in need achieve salvation while attaining enlightenment and Amida Nyorai is engraved on the crown.
百濟觀音為奈良縣的國寶級佛像，製作於飛鳥時代（592〜710年）。纖長苗條的八頭身完美比例給人以異常輕盈的印象。嘴角略微上揚的表現手法為Archaic smile（古典式的微笑）的象徵性表情，此尊佛像為古代日本的代表性佛像。 觀音菩薩一邊以悟道為目標，一邊救濟著世人，在其寶冠上，鑲嵌著阿彌陀如來。
